Was it cold? For some reason when mine is cold and I get above 3k rpms it has a horrible rasp. Could be the lack of resonator. But after some driving even up to 6k there’s no rasp.

And the Be-All-End-All hot hatch royalty MK1 Golf Gti had 19.5 lbs/hpm the Mark 2 is very simillar.

So I’d say it’s pretty decent.
